- Though I did have the Pad Thai yesterday (and can I just say it was DELISH), I went to the gym and worked out pretty hardcore (Thanks, Alyson!)
Ok ok - I’ve been missing in action. Haven’t really held myself accountable, but in my defense (to myself?) I’ve had a friend living with me for the past 3 weeks and it’s a little difficult to be OCD about losing weight when you have someone living with you. (Note- I live in an itsy bitsy studio apt). Today is the 1st and I want to start the rest of my life on the right foot - which includes keeping up with this tumblr.
Tomorrow night I have a date with the elliptical and my personal trainer, which should be fun. I really don’t mind working out, I just hate going to the gym. Does that make sense?
One of my college sorority sisters called me this week and told me she is getting married in March (ah!) Not only do I need to save money for a plane ticket back to Florida, but I want to look BANGING when I see everyone. Is that wrong? I know it’s HER day….but there is no shame in wanting to impress people, right? :)
While I haven’t shed any lbs. these past couple of weeks- I have been making the gym and regular thing and I’ve noticed it in several pieces of clothing. Including this one dress that I haven’t worn in a year and will be styling this coming weekend for a colleague’s wedding. It fits me beautifully - hugging all my curves in all the right places. I will be sure to post pictures.

This past weekend was horrific/wonderful. Lot’s of friends, fireworks and…more often than not, fatty foods.
Back on the wagon tomorrow. Will officially check in then as well.

FAIL.
Boss made us go to a baseball game after work - then gave us beer, lots of it. Which led me to buy the chicken finger basket. I feel ill. Didn’t get to the gym today either (woke up later as per usual and then was required to go to this game.) Granted, I didn’t HAVE to drink but….WHAT THE FUCK ELSE DO YOU DO AT A BASEBALL GAME?!
Plan to hit the gym HARD tomorrow and only eat fruits and veggies to redeem myself.

I’ve noticed that I need a plan or else things just go all array. I’ve also noticed that I need a backup plan because…let’s be honest, my plans usually get all fucked up. Take today for example. I had every intention of waking up and making myself a nice, healthy, delicious meal before going to work but NO. A fuse decides to go out - of course the one attached to not only my refrigerator, but my coffee maker AND my microwave. Seriously? Royally pissed off, I get ready for work (putting no thought in to the fact that it is 100 degrees outside and curly hair does not work well in humidity) and leave without breakfast.
Have I mentioned yet how much I LOVE BREAKFAST? I LOVE BREAKFAST. I could go without everything else, give me some b-fast and I’m a happy camper.
Needless to say, day did not start off well.
My poor diet choices (PDCs from now on) were only perpetuated by the fact that my boss decided to throw me for a loop this morning and send me over to Kinkos. No backup plan of a fruit and yogurt parfait (3 points!) for me - that being said I guess I need a backup for my backup plans. Fuck.
And what to my surprise is next to Kinkos? Starbucks AND a lovely little breakfast cafe. By this point it’s 11am. I’ve been awake for almost 6 hours and my stomach is growling so loudly I swear people can hear it. A bagel was my only option - the fruit selection was below par. Way below.
The day went by fast after that. After sweating my ass off with the rest of the city on the Metro (is it just my luck or does EVERY FUCKING METRO CAR NOT HAVE A/C WHEN IT’S UNGODLY HOT OUTSIDE?!) and climbing at LEAST 200 steps as I exited at my stop (escalators were OFF for “maintenance”) I met up with Allison, my PT for our now-weekly session. Starting next week I upped it to 2x/week. The rest of the days I’m doing massive cardio (and throwing in more fruits and veggies to slash these PDCs.)
I’m going to pack my lunch this evening to forego having this problema tomorrow. My boss wants the whole staff to go to this baseball game tomorrow night - I want to but…I don’t want to drink. And I have no self-control. And I need to save up for what will quite possibly be the rage of my life this weekend. Either way, my plan is to shower, go to sleep and wake up at the crack of dawn to get in a good 45 min. on the elliptical before work.
But you know now how my plans go…..
Breakfast: Whole Wheat Bagel w/ light cream cheese - 7 (eek! - did NOT see that coming)

NOT my best, but I only dipped in to my weekly points by 2.5. Plus my trainer kicked my ass tonight sooo I don’t feel to badly.
